5. Few and Far Between
Taste that sweetness in the air
Sudden hush and subtle stares
the moment she arrives
when she drop by every sense comes alive
She hasn't been here for awhile
to share that silent secret smile
when she draws near it's suddenly clear
you know your soul and why you are here
But, when she goes those answers, they all disappear
I'll always have the memory
But, every moment always seems
so few and far between.
She used to come here all the time
for coffee or a sip of wine
But, now she's gone astray
It won't be long 'til Wednesdays will all fade to gray
She tired of the old routine
and found herself a whole new scene
when she decides to call it a night
She'll kiss this place one final goodbye
and leave me here with my lonely sad ballad life
I'll always have the memory
But, every moment always seems
so few and far between.
I'll always have the memory
But, every moment always seems
so few and far between.
